Sushant Singh Rajput studied at St. Karen's High School in Patna and further studies at Kulachi Hansraj Model School in Delhi. He earned a Mechanical Engineering degree at Delhi College of Engineering in Delhi. Currently, this college is called Delhi Technological University. He was also a winner of National Olympiad in Physics.

When Sushant
Singh Rajput was studying in Delhi Technological University, he enrolled in a
dance class of Shiamak Davar's. It was only after joining a class that he
realized that he should pursue a career in acting. Because in the class in
which he was learning dance, some of the students used to go to Barry John's
drama class too. Those students also had an impact on Sushant Singh and he
started attending that class too.
While there he understood that he could act very well and he also liked acting.Within a few months, he was included in Davar's fine dance group. In the 51st Filmfare Awards ceremony held in 2005, Sushant Rajput was also in the group of background dancers. The 2006 Commonwealth Games event was held in Australia. Cultural programs were organized in it. Rajput was included in that too.
At that
time, he was very tired of studying his engineering and also fail in the paper
and he did not feel like studying. But at the same time, his interest in dance
and drama was increasing. It was then that he decided to quit engineering and
started focusing solely on dancing and acting.
Sushant
moved to Mumbai to work in films and worked for two and a half years at Nadira
Babbar's 'Ekjute' theater. During that time he worked in advertising for the
Nestlé stage on TV. That advertisement had become very famous all over the
country.
In 2008,
Sushant was acting in the drama of the Ekjute theater, then the team of Balaji
Telefilms saw him acting and all were quite impressed. He also invited Rajput
to audition a few days later and he got a chance to play Preet Juneja in the
show 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil'.
But the
character he played dies very soon in that show. But his character in the show
liked the people so much that he was called back as the soul in the finale of
that show. The people of his family were also very happy to see his success.
He played an
important character as in a famous serial like Pavitra Rishta. Because of this
serial, he became very famous and he could also find a way to go to films only
through this serial.
From June
2009, Sushant Singh Rajput played a very sensible and serious Manav Deshmukh in
the Pavitra Rishta Serial. The way he acted in this serial was highly praised
by all. He was awarded the Best Actor Award for the role he played in this
serial as well as the Most Popular Actor Award.
It was from
here that his new life started, due to which his path to go to films was
visible.
In May 2010,
Rajput also appeared in the 'Zara Nachke Dikha 2' dance reality show. In the
''Pavitra Rishta'' serial, he had proved that he is a good actor but he had to
make the dance even better, so he started taking dance training.
In the show
"Jara Nach Ke Dikha", Rajput was in Mast Kalandar Boys Team. He worked together for "Pavitra Rishta" and Jara Nachke Dikha 2. For the
special episode of Mother's Day, his team performed quite well and paid tribute
to his mother.
In December
2010, he also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 dance reality show. He
worked with choreographer Shampa Sonthalia on that show. In October 2010, he
had to go to foreign to pursue a course in film making, so he decided to skip
the "Pavitra Rishta" serial.
Rajput
auditioned to act in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che' film and was also selected
to play the lead character in that film and he also got a chance to work with
Rajkumar Rao and Amit Sadh. Based on Chetan Bhagat's Novel 3 Mistake of My
Life, the film did well at the box office.
Parineeti
Chopra and Vaani Kapoor were seen in Rajput's second film Shuddh Desi Romance.
The film was directed by Manish Sharma and produced by Yash Raj Film. The film
was based on a live-in relationship and was made in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Sushant
Singh Rajput got an opportunity to work with Rajkumar Hirani's 2014 PK film
opposite Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. His film proved to be a super hit film
and the film also earned a lot at the box office.
In 2016, Neeraj Pandey's film based on the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, "M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story ", Sushant Singh Rajput was seen in the film. In this film, he played the important role of Indian batsman and Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
